UMW Rummage Sale Draws Major Crowds
Handmade tablecloths, a wedding dress fit for a princess, fine china, cowboy boots, classic books, hand tools, leather chairs and rolltop desks — with a side of pulled pork barbeque. These are just a fraction of the items for purchase at the United Methodist Women’s Annual Rummage Sale, a signature event at Providence-Fort Washington United Methodist Church that also welcomes the beginning of the fall season. The Rummage Sale serves as the UMW’s primary fundraising event. Proceeds support the UMW’s worldwide missions work.
UMW President Sandra Matthews said of the Rummage Sale, “It is with deep appreciation for the congregation and the community for their continued support of this yearly occasion. Many individuals from the church and the community donate items in support of this event. It’s wonderful to see how our collective blessings are expanded to bless others.”
